Since 2017, Warsame Jama operates the sewing factory Malmö Industries, as well as its own clothing brand Manér.
Malmö Industries has a wide range of machines for sewing and textile production, as well as experienced tailors and pattern designers who handle cutting and sewing.
After commissioning prototypes at sewing factories all around Sweden, A NEW SWEDEN chose to work with Malmö Industries.
They have machines that can handle thick fabrics like the Findor felted wool, and can skilfully work with details such as folded seams and hidden buttoning.
Malmö Industries has sewn the Findor jacket and helped A NEW SWEDEN try different sewing threads without plastic material.
The sewing thread is made of Tencel which is made from cellulose, 100% biodegradable.
Inspired by the timeless Swedish M-39, the Findor Wool Field Jacket is woven and felted for resistance against wind and rain. The shoulders, elbows and placket have been reinforced for protection and durability. Finished with buttons handcrafted from reindeer antler.
